Four short stories by M. Allen Cunningham will be featured in live readings by professional actors at the New Short Fiction Reading Series in Beverly Hills next May (2006). More on this performance as the date draws near...
As is noted on my "Works" page at the main website, a few new short stories are forthcoming very soon in American literary magazines:
Look for "The Best Man," a tale of little league debacles, adult awkwardness, wedding coordinators, pet euthanasia, and elementary school bullies, in Glimmer Train's winter 2005 issue, arriving on stands in November.
"Windmills," a story of two kinds of loneliness, will appear in issue Number 6 of Night Train sometime in the next few months.
And in the more distant future:
"Twelve Monthly Devotions," a near-novella starring a bench-pressing preacher, will appear in The Kenyon Review, summer 2006.
P.S. Stay tuned for some short fiction excerpts soon to appear on this page...
